Community Rehabilitation Worker – Full Time

We are looking for a highly motivated, caring, and skilled individual to provide support for adults with acquired brain injury to participate in therapeutic recreational activities in a community-based rehabilitation program and clinical setting.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Providing support for adults with acquired brain injury (including stroke) to participate in leisure activities at ARBI and in the community
  • Lead clients in a variety of group settings as well as individually
  • Providing ongoing supervision and support for clients and volunteers
  • Working closely with a client-centered, multi-disciplinary team under the direction of a Recreation Therapist
  • Communicating closely with families/guardians and residential staff regarding client-related concerns
  • Administrative duties that support the Community Integration Program
Qualifications & Experience
  • Recreation Aide Diploma/related certificate
  • Experience in a rehabilitation environment and/or with the brain injury population
  • Emergency First Aid or CPR
  • Vehicle is required and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
